About Me
Perhaps I should call this blog “The Cowardly Libertarian”. I feel that I am both. I have my reasons though.
I grew up a Christian skirt girl (o.f the Pentecostal Holiness/AG variety). Many of my friends and family are still the same way. And, of course… their opinions are very homogenous. I bet you can guess who they are voting for in the Republican Primaries! (Last name starts with a “P” and ends in a “y”) I once mentioned to my very opinionated father that I liked Ron Paul during last years elections and his response was immediately “Doesn’t he believe in legalizing drugs”? Well…yes dad… yes he does. Do I expect him to understand the logic behind it? Eh, maybe. However, a person convinced against their will is of the same opinion still. Old opinions die hard. And, do I really want to be shunned and become the family black sheep? Nah. I’ll pass thankyouverymuch. As a result, I keep political commentary OFF of my facebook, my car and my yard. Heck, I could get kicked from the church choir if anyone finds out that I am against permanent US occupation of the Middle East!
I do enjoy newsy stuff though, and like to vent on it every now and then though. So there you have it… why this blog exists.
